Welcome to Blackwater Beekeepers Association public education page.

We have experienced beekeepers that are willing to speak about the value of Honeybees.

The importance of honeybees to humanity must not be underestimated.  Most people take them for granted.

The main mission of BBA is to raise public awareness about the importance of safeguarding one of nature's most essential resources. We take it seriously

Our presentations are tailored to:

  • Daycares
  • Public and Private Schools
  • Religious Groups
  • Garden Clubs
  • Community Service Clubs

There are some requirements that need to be in place first:

Kindly provide a minimum of four weeks' notice prior to the desired date. This timeframe will enable us to secure a volunteer member to conduct the presentation.

Please confirm by email or text once the time, location, and date of your appointment have been verified.  Communication with us is essential.

Please ensure to contact your presenter one week prior to confirm that the event is still scheduled to take place.

We cannot bring observation hives (live bees) in cold weather.   If you desire to have an observation hive present plan please understand that daytime temperatures must be at least 65 degrees.

Audio/visual equipment (large screens/computer with wifi) on site will helpful for communicating concepts.but not required.

There is no charge to your organization for a BBA speaker.

Our education programs will benefit from any donations your organization can provide.  Please consider donating if we have blessed your organization.
